Groups, projects and campaigns

Sustainable Thornbury has several working groups and projects in progress. They meet as necessary, often about once a month, to plan and discuss. To join or contact a group please Contact Us.

Some of the current groups are:-

• Grow Your Own Food. A self-help group for gardeners growing fruit or vegetables organically. 
• The community orchard group looks after the Community Orchard in Gloucester Road Thornbury, opposite the Anchor pub.
• The Wildflower Meadow group is planning to set up one or more wildflower meadows in Thornbury.

We are looking again at the possibility of generating electricity from the tidal barrage at Oldbury. More...
